then why do we cyclist get hasled or teickects when we ride on the walkway? yes assumng th palce has bike lane all is fine. a cyclist isnot allowed on the road nor the wlakway? where can they ride?

teger doesn't bike at all, and usually relies on public transportation to get around -- thus wouldn't appreciate the diy aesthetic and skill level it takes to build and navigate a tall bike.

everyone i know with a tall bike (like... three people) built it themselves out of boredom and just to see if they could ride the damn thing. i know another person who rides a pennyfarthing to work. these people have been riding for at least ten years and love bikes and also want to express a bit of their quirky personality into their ride. it takes balls.

it's dumb logic when people automatically dismiss something they're not used to seeing on a regular basis as being stupid.

Concerning a tall bike or a pennyfarthing or whatever:

Anyone who rides them/makes them - enjoy your hobby. I am sure they are difficult to make and are a blast to ride.

But this will not stop me from making serious fun of you. You have to recognize that these monstrosities are rediculous looking and invite funny or harsh comments. If you can't see the hilarity/rediculousness in these things, you need to come back down to earth.
