I'm basically looking for normal hours, average salary ($60k after a few years?) but something that isn't the typical corporate office job. I like careers like law enforcement and nursing that combine a physical aspect with some education, and where you have the chance to experience different things everyday.

So what is there...skilled trades, 2-year certificates in medical technician positions...? I'm lost at the moment.

Forensics accounting. Office job but it sounds cool.

Not kidding either.

I know a guy who's a supervisor of sanitation in NYC (cleaning subway tunnels and such). He's making over $110k/year (not to mention a fat ass pension when he retires).

Union guys make bank. I know an electrician and he'll vest by the time he's 50. Fucker gets double pay for overtime too.

With a college degree you can teach English all over the world, your pick. The best part is that you can make good cash and travel at the same time. Some of the members in here are doing just that now.

ICE are hiring across the country right now. Looks like some interesting investigative research and field jobs going, too.

I had to read this three time before I figured out what the big deal was. I don't know what that says.

Feg Dickbrain TBH, I know two guys who lobby (state level). Both are in their mid to late 20s and they make well over $100K (under $200K though). I know a woman who was rather high up in the Democratic House leadership in the Ohio House...she is prob. 35, makes $500K a year lobbying, maybe more. Go for that. Don;t need anything more than a BA, though a JD or MPP/MPA is helpful. Not necessary though.
