I would send a thank you letter, or call.

I sent a thank you email the day after the interview and got no response from that.

You might get the courtesy of receiving a letter/email saying that they "won't be pursuing your candidacy at this time", but chances are that unless they want to see you again you won't hear from them at all. You've got nothing to lose by following up, but doing so isn't going to result in them scheduling the next interview unless they planned to anyway. Otherwise, you'll probably get stonewalled.

Don't take it personally; in the best of markets employers getting back when they don't want you is a 50/50 bet - in this market the odds are a lot worse. Just think of it as their loss.

How do I answer the question "Where do you want to be in 5 years?" if its an entry level position? I have no idea where I want to be... and why would you ask them where they want to be? I have my first interview coming up and Im nervous as heck. Im not sure what questions to ask and exactly how to prepare other than rehearse questions...and reading this thread.

Answer it honestly. Tell them that. It's (I'm guessing) your first job, and you say entry-level. Tell them you don't know where you'll be in 5 years, but at company X in job Y you have a chance to learn a lot about what you are interested in and hope that your experience there will determine where you'll go in 5 years. Or some shit like that.

Because I'm a terrible interviewer?

Well no job this time.

Not being able to find an entry-level job fucking blows.

Entry level at this point is considered up to 5 years of experience + and MBA and a second language at many places.

Working at this firm and possibly managing people. You have to give them an answer that seems like that this job puts you on track to where you want to be, so they know they arent wasting their time with someone who is going to take flight as soon as the economy improves.
