Foof styed on those dudes hard except for santino like manton said who was closest to him. The thing with him is you don't notice the details until further inspection which is not what esquire was looking for anyway as has been stated.

Details doesn't win a contest on its own though. It's the overall look that they are looking for.

Foo don't feel bad, the camera adds at least 15 pounds to eyewear.

Foo and Dan were known to the Esquire folks before the contest. Nick will probably read this thread if he hasn't already.

I have worked professionally with the editorial staff of Esquire. Nick is a reader of SF and active AAAC member, and I recall talking about you and other SF/AAAC people. Other Esquire people like David Granger are fans of both SF and AAAC.

I believe Dan's blog has been mentioned in Esquire, and they definitely look at style blogs including Will's blog, and the Sartorialist. Esquire and Hearst have been really slow to take advantage of the internet, and the contest is one of the ways to help with that.

Nick's a nice guy.

So going forward, will getting dressed up be known as "trepanning"?

He certainly seemed so in person. I didn't talk very long with him, but he was friendly and sociable. And he likes watches.

I'm glad I didn't know he knew about my participation on the forums. It would have felt very awkward.
