Two months ago, I held my friend's hand as he died of liver failure in hospice care. He was 38. I knew him for 24 years. He had always liked to drink, but he didn't ever slow down as he got older. I could barely stand to be around him for the last five years or so. It was not a pretty sight when he died.
I'm just putting this here to add to the discussion. I think a lot of guys binge drink frequently in their 20's and then turn the corner. If you're coming up on 30- maybe a temperance strategy is in order.
Anyone familier with the type of drinking it actually takes to damage the liver? Genuinely curious as I'm developing a pretty thirsty habit of 6-7 drinks a night. I feel like over the long run this would not be good...
