Ugh.

After being a straight-up alcoholic for about 7-8 days straight and having like 3 hangovers in a row, I am finally taking some well-deserved time off for my liver. I think I'm gonna last until maybe Friday..

At least you're physically rejecting it. I don't get too many hangovers because of work nights. But I do need to catch up on sleep since alcoholic sleep isn't sleep after 3 or 4 days of doing it. I can usually do about 7 drinks/day with no issues. Most of the time I stop for about 3 days (longest 8 days in the past couple of years) because of liver guilt.

It's my medical opinion that you should continue drinking.

Delirium Tremens can be fatal.

******. Stop being a little ***** quitter.

That said, I am trying to also take a break from drinking. But not to detox. I am going to experiment and see if I can have a good time on 1-2 drinks instead of 9+. I doubt it will be successful.

Spirits, cigars and lately beer are my favorite indulgences. Why "take a break" at all?

I once had a very lively conversation at a very excellent bar with a gastroenterologist-hepatologist about my liver. Passionate guy. Learned a lot.

Be like a pirate. Pirates never have hangovers because they never stop drinking

liver guild... thatst the first time ive heard about that...

usually after long benders its recuperating with a full day of sleeping and drinking water, and another of feeling like a stuffed pillow but can still function.. after that its business as usual.

Every once in a while I take X days off to make sure I can.

Once I know I can stay away fron it I hit that bottle like a red headed stepchild.
