phone calls from a ghost

i'm currently staying in my grandparent's old house, and for the past 3 years the landline here has been disconnected. over the past few days, the old rotary phone on the wall has started ringing once for no reason at all, and it has been happening more and more frequently. what is going on? is there an electrical short causing this somewhere in the line? are the ghosts of my dead grandparents trying to contact me?

I swear to god I saw a ghost once in my 3rd year dorm room. It was of a little girl in a old Sunday dress. She was standing next to my laundry hamper. I was brushing my teeth and when I turned around I saw her there for a split second.

Ghosts are fucking real.
