Being it's sold out, this is a decent option. I have the one in heather. It's nice..not as big as the R&B one, and not sure how much you needed that 15% mohair blend, but..

Not sure, really. It struck me as odd at first, but I suppose they wanted to make their foray into cashmere this year, and the current CYC manufacturing facility(ies) weren't equipped for such a job. But I did research it a bit, and it just seems that some of the best cashmere is spun in China. And I would hope/bet that CYC did their due diligence in determining which facility to employ for the job. There's the whole MIC debate, and we as modern, conscious consumers have been taught that MIC equates to poor quality and sweat shops -- but I guess we just have to accept that there are some items that plain & simple are best suited to be produced in a certain county or region, despite relatively recent stigmas surfacing around the aforementioned. But, for what it's worth, all my w+h cashmere this year has been really nice. Not just saying that. I wore my sweater about 5 times before I dry cleaned it. Came out looking crispy. No pilling yet (it will of course, though) -- but just overall a nice sweater (and toque, and scarf) Rag & Bone is all MIC now, too, correct? edit; oops, forgot to address the goose down outerwear. That....I just don't know. Cost cutting measures I guess (but alas those savings will of course not be passed to the consumer). You would think Canada would be the ideal place to manufacturer goose down outwear...with all the Canadian Geese and all..

good to know that the material is good. dont know if all rag and bone is made in china. oki ni listed some of their tees as made in peru. my mallory boots however, are mic. they seem to be well built tho. welt is on par, leather soles, nice hardware. probably the best detail that most will not even notice is the laces. they are thin with a metal closure that gives it the right amount of weight, making it easy to "swing" ones laces around the back of the boot to tie them up.

I do not own any clothing made in china.

/labelking

ps. my knits are all made in belgium or italy

yeah... forward tricked me, they state the boots as being made in usa, cant really do anything as i bought them from oki (whom didnt mention where they are made in description). besides from that im china-free

mike from epauletshop talked about that a bit (the MIC prejudice) and how it's not necessarily true all the time (what is, really?) that MIC=crap. nau is another company that tries to source and do what they can to make their supply chain sustainable, but they also manufacture their stuff in china (but are involved with the process and visit to ensure that conditions meet what their expectations are). that being said, i try my best to avoid MIC, and wouldn't generally buy.

^i'm curious as well What is the reason for the move to china? To get better quality?

I value the brand more then some made in country status The made in country status is ridiculously deceiving, go to MC, plenty of 'made in Italy / England' textiles are farmed / gathered / sorted / treated / prepared / spun / weaved in a poverty class country and then finished in Italy / England and thus, made in the country it was finished in. Get handknits, thats my advice.

Visited the MMM store in Brussels during the week looking to pick up a pair of gloves. They only had one cheap looking shiny black leather style that wouldn't look out of place in H&M.

Bought the following cashmere-lined deerskin pair from Delvaux instead:

there is talk of [european] legislation requiring more details than simply the final place of assembly.
