Nothing screams cheap, shitty 80s furniture like square aluminum/chrome supports. Ugh.

80s? Is the styleforum taste in furniture mostly modern? Not that I don't like it, but if Mr. Moo has an arts and crafts home sending him links to deals on Corbusier sofas might not really help.

PS some of those craigslist deals are insane, like buy it, strip it and re-sell the wood for more insane.

If you want authentic iconic pieces at a fraction of retail take a look at metroretrofurniture.com. He sells stuff from all of the mid-century designers - Eames, Saarinen, Bertoia, etc.

Don't buy too much. Don't crowd the place. No matter how nice the vintage mismatched stuff, if you crowd the place you're getting nowhere.

Some of the shit you're posting scares me.

It can look good in pictures, but the quality is a big fucking deal. I mean normally I think even room and board can be iffy, and that overstock stuff? I don't know.
