Narrow yes, but maybe not super narrow. Keep in mind I only plan on wearing these with thinner socks or going sockless. The E-width helps as well, the D-widths, however, were far too narrow for me.

I have never gone sockless as an adult - but do thinner socks. I bought D width. I probably needed E width. I hope the 9.5 D works for me in the Penny Loafers. They just shipped.

Just received the Peals Penny Loafers. They sure seem to be very similar to the Harvards. They are on the 314 Lasts. Very nice.

I went with a 9.5D for the Loafers after the 9D in the other loafers were WAY to tight and narrow.

Size wise, I also have the Peal Perforated Captoes in 9D. The 9 is snug. The 9.5 is roomy and only has slight movement in the shoe and heel. So i think they are a keeper.
