or at least give people considering law school accurate info about job prospects in the profession... there are so many who end up in law school out of undergrad merely because they don't know what else to do.

It's a bloodbath at OCI. Luckily, I've managed to more or less secure employment at an excellent firm, a which I spent my summer and now work part-time, outside of law school (I'm a 2L).

I had a candid chat with a partner at his firm's 2L mixer. The conclusion --- take any job at this point. Unless you went to a T14 school, most of those jobs were never in contention for you anyway.

This is all old news. Anybody entering law school in time to be looking for summer associate positions (for this past summer or next summer) could have found out how bad things are with less than fifteen seconds of casual Googling.
