Beards in a professional setting - Page 3

Theoretically, I suppose it depends. Specifically, in your case, I think you would look more professional without it. Makes you look a bit hipster. especially if you work at a full suit and tie place, then maybe it's a no... if you're at a shirt and pants only type job then you could get away with it.

Well done sir. Those are pretty good. I must say they are a rare exception though unfortunately.

You do see some, mostly after they retire though since Asian corporate culture is draconian.

*sigh* I'm envious of all this beard talk. I will be 28 next month and every time I try to grow a beard it looks like a dog with the mange. I guess I'm forever cursed with a baby face

Your going IT consulting, IE corporate. No beard.

keep the beard, it looks nice on you

Wait a couple of years until you prove your mettle. It's a stupid, pedestrian attitude, but most people in corporate America are going to look askance at a beard.

@OP I don't have much to say about the beard, but you have good taste in bikes.

+1. That's a beauty.

I say drop the beard for a few years though. Having a beard could possibly hurt your prospects and there's no real reason to take that chance. Its just a hair after all. It'll grow back.
