Not sure if this was posted already, but this Vanity Fair article about the objects Saint Laurent collected in his Paris apartment is pretty neat.

The small-timer doesn't even have a Monet! When they got to the pic of the dog, I thought they were gonna say it was "preserved" and will also be up for auction. LK would have freaked. Overall I have to say that the place is quite eclectic, but god damn that's a lot of clutter!

I like the shot of the model lounging. Nice bar, too. While it's not my personal style, some of the sculpture and paintings are quite impressive. I like the small vignettes like the magnifying glass and chrome telephone.

I've always been fond of YSL's mode of interior decor.

Even with all this grand luxury he was driving a VW convertible in the early 70's.

I didn't know that Cassandre did his logo. Interesting bit of trivia.

You expected him to have owned one of those large American vehicles like Cadillac or Lincoln.

I wouldn't have thought of him driving anything. Maybe it was chic then to drive yourself around.

I think I read somewhere that when was trying to woo Pierre Bergé (or some other guy), that he would drive continuously around the block that he lived on in hopes of seeing him.

You know they auctioned YSL's treasures recently? You know how much it raked in?

Half a BILLION dollars.

An Eileen Gray chair went for a cool couple of million, IIRC. A freakin' chair. One.

Article was in Architectural Digest.

Move 1 decimal point.

"The record 21.9 million euros paid by the Paris dealer Cheska Vallois for Eileen Gray's "dragons" armchair stunned the audience on Feb. 24 during the 59.2-million-euro sale of 20th-century decorative arts."
