^^ Yeah, Yuengling is pretty good for cheap beer. A friend of mine dated Wendy Yuengling in college. Now that's a family to marry into!

It's one of the beers I miss having left DC. I actually had my friend from DC bring a 12 pack when we went to the OSU/USC game this past weekend. So delicious once it touches your lips, especially knowing how cheap it is.

^^ They are getting more national penetration but unfortunately you can't get it everywhere. They opened up a brewery in Tampa a while back, which has improved availability.

That explains why a few years ago Yuengling was at every spot in South Beach. They all tried to pass it off as some exclusive premium brew, which was amusing.

It's funny people fantasize about yuengling as some premium brew. It's a standard american tasting beer. Nothing that special imo. I remember going to random house parties in undergrad and sometimes people would have that

I mean, it's especially solid for being a cheap macro, but yeah.

Similarly, I've heard stories of how Coors used to be a thing of legend amongst Eastcoasters until they widened their distribution.

Isn't that what Cannonball Run was about?
