We just received our Turley newsletter and order form yesterday. It sounds like 2007 is a keeper.

Any thoughts? Turley's been on our list for ages.

Just tried some of Helen Turley's work at Martinelli in Russian River this weekend (Bondi Home 2007 Pinot and at least two Zins). Really delicious stuff - how much are you thinking of ordering?

You'll have to let us know what you think. What did you order?

Duveen, probably a case, although maybe less. I've never ordered from them before, so I am not eligible to order all their offerings.

I can't remember what those are exactly, but checking my Cellar Tracker, I've got some 04, 05, and 07 currently in stock, a mix of Dogtown, Juvenile, Psenti, and Old Vines. I just bought a case of the current 07 release, mixed of all the offerings.

For those interested, here's a Vaynerchuk piece on Turley:

He def liked the Pisenti, IIRC.

Loved Martinelli, but the Vaynerchuk episode taught me that she hasn't been making Turley wines since 1995. She is also leaving Martinelli as of this year, so no relevance to you. I did love the Pinot.

Turley is, I think, one of the wineries where Ehren Jordan is involved. Vaynerchuk also likes Neyer Zins, another one where Jordan is somewhat involved, and a LOT cheaper. I will head there this weekend most likely (I am in wine country for a few more weeks on a short-term assignment).

Did not know about the Martinelli departure. I've always found that a very good QPR for Pinot, and a "go to" on wine lists, as it's so moderately priced.
