Stopped by the new Brooks Brothers in Toronto, the first in Canada, this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see they had most of this season's Black Fleece suits, shirts etc.

All the other Brooks stuff is still there. The price point feels 20% higher than in the states, but its nice to know its there.

Staff seem new and not very familiar with the product but are eager to please.

That's the Canadian city that actually gets stuff...like BB, the Olympics, foreign visitors and decent weather.

Oops. Sorry.

Some of their shoes were $700...not even cordovan. A little outrageous.

I paid a visit this morning.
Pretty impressive store, expansive in size. Lots of room to move around and peruse. Fair amount of SAs, at least for now.
The "owner" was in the store wearing a dark navy pinstripe BF suit.
The SA claims this is their biggest store in Canada….and it carries everything.
Shirts, business casual, sporting wear, suits (BF, GF, Regent, Fitzgerald and Madison), shoes (made by Peal) in loafers and oxfords (some in cordovan), accessories, undergarments, luggages. They even have a separate entrance for women and a small section for kids. The SA was wearing a Fitzgerald suit, a decent looking and fitted ensemble.
Vast selection in shirts from extra slim to regular, button-down and regular collar, mostly in non-iron. They currently have a promotion for 2 shirts ~ C$189 (regular price $109/119) I think.
Received a promotional card from the SA, good for regular priced merchandise until Dec 31, 2009.
Let's give them some time and see how they will do.

I was in there at lunch. Great store (quite large at approx 9,000 sq.ft.). Lots of nice things at prices I wouldn't be able to handle... Still where else can you walk in to a store in toronto and walk out with a white tie rig?
