No, I've found it, thank you. See above posts. You guys helped completely.

For what it's worth, the retail version with the taller capsules tastes exactly the same and offers the same variety of blends. I've been using Nespresso for maybe 10 or 12 years and I don't think it's possible to find a system that provides a similar quality espresso combined with the simplicity and hassle-free operation and maintenance (I'm making one right now as I type)

What do the capsules end up costing per serving? And any recommendations on a nespresso machine? It seems like there are a few different ones.

Most are $0.55. Some "special" blends are $0.60 I think. I have the Cube ones at home and in the office and like these. I don't make cappucinos though and there is no milk frothing thingy on it. They just came out with very cool super compact machines - no experience but they look great.

What makes this a "commercial" version? It seems to me it would be appropriate for a home or apartment as well. I don't recall it being all that large. Is it because it features up to seven flavors?

Different distribution channels and sales reps so I imagine they don't want the business customers to start buying capsules outside of their sales channel. Also, the machines are probably more expensive and sturdier because they make dozens of shots a day vs. a couple for the residential equipment.

The "flavors" (actually blends) are the same for the residential/consumer version. Check the nespresso.com website.

There is no difference between the coffee's. The machines are made for more durable operation just as GDL said. I'll second the Nespresso recommendation. Really, it makes the espresso experience so much easier. No tamping, no grinding, no cleanup, and no hassle. Just pop in the cap and you're done. I wash out the parts once a week and descale it every 3 months or so. Couldn't be happier. FWIW, I also have the Cube model and find it to be perfect for the home. The side mounted water container is much easier to deal with than the rear mounted ones. I also have the aerochino when I want to make cappucino's for guests. Great little combo.
