Liquor Stores in Sydney

Hi everyone,

I'm studying in Sydney for a few months and while the city's great, the liquor stores seem to suck. The selection is usually small, and everything seems to be 50% more or twice the price of liquor in the US.

Does anyone have any recommendation of good stores to buy from. Right now, I'm trying to find a white rum, and it's proving to be somewhat difficult to find much besides Bacardi. (I live near King's Cross, btw.)

Have you tried 'Dan Murphy's' or '1st Choice Liquor Superstore'? These are the two 'big box' bottle shops in Australia.

I don't live in Sydney, so can't help you on location
