Quality of Barney's Co-Op House Brand

I came across one of their navy cotton jackets for a pretty decent price. What's the quality on the Co-Op house branded items? It's online so general ideas about fit would be helpful too? My alternative would be RL Blue label navy sportcoat (either cotton or corduroy), for slightly cheaper.

I'm looking to wear for 3 seasons. BY the way, their site says they have 46 and 48 sized jackets left. Would that be european sized (so be 36, 38 american)? I'll check with them from the office tomorrow but wanted to get ideas here too.

Thanks!

If the RL was made in Italy I'd go for that one instead, but a lot of Barney's house brand is actually very good stuff for the price. Best part is that almost all of it lasts until sales.

I'm quite sure the RL stuff aren't made in Italy. I'll be in NYC this weekend so will check out the Mansion and the Barneys Warehouse (or was it saks?) sale going on now.

its pretty good at a discount, and it fits very slim for a house brand. I have a pair of house brand chukkas that I like a lot and got very cheap and wouldn't have an issue picking up some knitwear/sweaters. I might snag a wool jacket once winter hits if I need it.

I recently got a pair of wingtips that were of very low quality.

cop on sale as others have said. I have a CoOp shirt and "office pants" and I like them but they are not outstanding. Would buy CoOp again, on sale.

What others have said here. Some are slightly better than other pieces.. seems like most of it is made in Italy.. nothing too outstanding.

If the discount is deep enough, I would say to go for it. I've purchased several CO-OP branded items and although some are better than others, they're worth the money at the end of the season. However, although a lot of it is made in Italy, I don't think that makes it any better than something else made in China.

Actually, I would argue that I've seen plenty of stuff made in China that was higher quality

Actually, RL Blue label suits are made in Italy, at least according to the RL salesman I talked to last weekend.

I recently purchased a charcoal grey cardigan

I've got a few pieces too - mostly dress stuff that I needed for my old job. I'll echo everyone else's comments - the quality is decent, and it's a good value on sale.

Given their production capability, I feel that they could do a lot better. Their Co-Op stuff just has no sex appeal. They should stop playing it safe and hire a designer. Wouldn't hurt to slash the retail by 30% either.

I looked at some of their items recently and it seems some are made in the USA.
As to where or by whom, I know not. But the construction seemed decent.

anyone seen this seasons shawl chunky wool cardigans? They're super soft and the fit is excellent. Curious what you guys think? Price is 230ish I believe?
