Work/Career Advise

I work as a pharmacist in AZ and I noticed there was job opening in CA I am interested in. It is a pharmacy supervisor opening and I was wondering if I should

A) talk to my boss first and then apply for the job.

B) take CA pharmacy law, pass it then talk to my boss.

Passing CA law would be required but its not a pre requisite for application. I could pass the law subsequently, but I am thinking having passed it would give me an edge.

Counsel anyone?

Why wouldn't you try to pass it if you were thinking of taking a job there now, or somewhere down the line in the future.........

Unless there is some reason to take the law I dont see the point in getting licenced in random states, and hence the question but I see your pov. It might just be worth it. Thank you for takin the time to reply

Learn the difference between "advise" and "advice".

But seriously, I don't see the harm in either route. If you go to your boss first, they might agree to help get you certified, though.

Thanks lbcgav, I must admit to being confused on the spelling, but my concern was will he see it as a threat to him if I want to move up? I just want to make sure I play my cards right..
