Toying with the idea of dropping an aircooled 911 drive train into a microbus. Flaring out wheel wells, etc. Big 911 tires and all. Anyone done something like this? Know anyone who has done something like this? Thanks -

I have these as well as a brown pair of very similar but not identical ones. (can't remember the model name.) They're just a classic styled, non-bulky loafer. So many today have that ridiculous...

I got these during a seconds sale for a great price, but found that the 8D looked very blobby - the cap toe portion was very large, leading to a shape that was not very flattering. Ended up...

I don't know if I have this exact pair, but I own a few pair of Thomas Pink OTC socks that I am quite fond of. They are very similar to Pantherella wool OTC socks. All mine have been given to me...

I know Jamie Oliver has a VW Campervan with a Porsche drivetrain. Not sure if it's a 911 drive train.

Naaah,
Been thinking along these lines for a while. It is either the microbus with the 911 engine or a mercedes ponton with a 1980s engine. My father had a string of pontons all the way into the 70s followed by a string of hefklosses till about a decade ago. Some of the 80s mercedes engines would fit the pontons. Looking for a 220 body type as opposed to a 180/190 body type. A cabr. would be ideal but they are very rare.
We also went on a roadtrip in a microbus camper in early 70s through asia/Middle east. Places that were VERY different back then. You may have heard of some of these places: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey....
Just missing him.
