I hate the font, but the illustration is very nice.

I hate the company, but the logo is great: Jon.

The Mobil logo is a very old design and the BP seems modern.

bp has an older logo. This one is updated. The old BP logo was very temporary-looking and to be honest quite ugly. I think the only modern part of their current logo is the usage of all lowercase (bp).

I think Mobil's font is pretty nice, but I hate their horse logo and the colors they chose (wow, a gas company with red, white and blue? who'dathunk?). I find it to be dated.

BP's branding is miles ahead of any other gas company, though I think Chevron might be as good or close behind. Arco is starting to modernize a bit (a very needed change for them), but they aren't changing their logo at all.

I can't believe you of all people just said that.

That Lockheed Martin logo is awesome.

I only like the text in the Mobil logo. Not a fan of the winged-horse (Pegasus? I am not familiar with mythical creatures).

The all-lowercase bp text makes it look like something a superfuture member designed. The logo, for some reason in my eyes, looks like something out of the 70's (Even though I did not even exist at that time).

I don't think using all lower-case should be outlawed because of Superfuture I really like the way the Pelican is drawn. The curves and colors do a good justice to the nature of the animal.

BP owns Arco: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/712962.stm i think i got bad gas from Arco a couple times, so I'm staying away from them for now even though they're cheap.

Why?

I don't have the BP in my area. Nor do I actually have Mobil but I'm more familiar with them.

I think all lower case should be used sparingly. It can very easily look, um, SuperFuture-ish. The worst is "programmer's style" like 'pelicanLabs.' It looks cool for a while but gets annoying fast. I can imagine it being totally outdated in a few decades.

Thanks, I thought so too. I'm not too fond of the font either. Do you have any recommendations?

Hmm, it's very apparent to me but that's because I've been staring at it for several months now. I appreciate your feedback. It's important to know how it appears to others.
