I've been on the bike only sporadically the past 2 weeks because of exams. PRd a 38 mile loop around my house today feels good man.

61km = ~40 miles, 3 hours. Nice and sunny.

Hardly been on it the last year, just over 14 miles in just under an hour. Going to do the loop twice tomorrow, got a nice steep hill early on which is a lot easier when you've been out for an hour already.

about 10 miles last night on a night-time ride around the monuments for charity. Nice time with friends.

I went out meaning to do about 30, but I took a wrong turning (it wasn't signposted and I went in the general direction I wanted to go but unfortunately the road had other ideas) so I ended up doing 45. facepalm.gif

The extra 15 miles has done me good though I think, I might incorporate that into the course next time and go up the main hill from the other side.

I was a little disappointed in the small number of vendors. I know it was for a good cause, but the overall pre and post-ride experience were sort of blah.

The route was tougher than I thought it was going to be. The road was a little rough too. The heat was mitigated quite a bit by the 4 water stations, which I took full advantage of.

I'll do it again.

i guess it's hit or miss, mine was on the verizon campus in jersey and they had lots of vendors and pharma sponsors (since jersey is the mecca for the pharma industry) and local bike shops that were giving free stuff away . it was def a good experience and will be doing it again next year.
