Cross can't be measured in miles. Just minutes of endured pain. I wish we had a 'cross scene down here.

32.6 miles on a beautiful morning. Probably about 83-84 degrees F when I finished. A welcome drop in temps from 107 earlier this week.

My standard buckle my house is 24 miles, some moderate hills of New England at a rate of 15 to 16, twice a week. What more will accelerate the pace a bit and a half hour on the rollers. I would really like to get a set of rollers just to practice my stroke. 4-5 months without riding has left my stroke fairly choppy. Thats all I am really focusing on now, just keeping everything smooth.

Wait are we the same person? This is exactly my workout. Not always twice a week but that is the goal.

Rode 15 this morning. I think one of my spokes is loose, but i can't figure our which one. My front wheel has developed a small vibration and when i apply my front brake there is one spot on the wheel that grabs a bit harder than the rest. I need to fix it. pretty annoying at low speed braking.

33 miles on Sat and a personal best 37 on Sun. Trying to get in as much riding as I can while we have longer days.

First real cross race of the season yesterday...

Upgraded so I can't compare my performance to last season but I am not super happy with it (though it sounds like my category is kind of stacked).

Sprinted for the guy ahead of me out of the last corner...was maybe a 50 ft gap to start. I was hammering it and closing the gap when I blew out of my pedal. Kicked the wheel and almost crashed into an official but kept it upright--made it right next to the guy on momentum alone and crossed the line maybe 1ft after he did.

If had sucked it up and bought new shoes and pedals already, I would have beaten his ass (the worn-out cleats are frozen to my shoes so I have to replace everything all at once)
