Question for eBay sellers

Has this happened to you? I'm new to selling on eBay and could use some advice.

I sold a pair of gym shoes recently for $6. Buyer paid, I shipped it off via USPS. A week and a half later, buyer claims she was not there to receive the box, and that the post office has returned it to me. Now she wants me to send it to her P.O. Box.

I charged a reasonable amount for s&h the first time around ($5), basically my costs. Assuming I get the box back, should I charge her again for s&h?

Was it a paypal confirmed address?

Even if not, I think it's her responsibility to collect the thing. Add'l shipping charges should be her responsibility therefore.

You betcha. Comfirmed address. When there's no one to collect, doesn't the post office hold the box for a few days?

I would have thought the post office would hold it for pickup for at least a week. Maybe the parcel is just sitting at her local post office?

Yes. They do.

Yep, not your problem. Charge her again!

Definitely charge her again. I've been on the other end of that deal before, and it sucks! But I couldn't complain. It was my fault for not getting to the post office in a timely fashion and I knew it.
