Is Purdue the best supermarket brand for chicken? - Page 2

I only eat chicken imported directly from the Bresse region in France. I get a new chicken every day, but oftentimes I don't eat chicken, as I'm also getting the best products from every region on earth. It is a tough life to live.

I bought some live chickens in Cambodia.

There's actually a place here in Cambridge Mass where you can get a chicken that was, well, alive when you walked in the door. We're going to try that sometime soon . . . (Obviously this is standard practice in much of the world, but not in the US . . . )

I buy the air cooled shit at Whole Foods. Tastes OK but don't eat chicken at home that often.

+1 on Bell & Evans, and also Empire Kosher. There is also some Amish poultry around here that is decent, but if I want the good stuff, I skip the grocer and hit a butcher. I love living in a city!

Best chickens are those marked 'all natural'. I buy my chicken's at Sam's Club, we eat one and freeze the second one for future use. Perdue never tastes fresh and is injected with 'stuff'. If you need to inject 'stuff' into the chicken, what's wrong with the chicken to begin with? They are also loaded with salt - not a good thing to do, esp. since most people don't realize that and then will salt n pepper the chicken. Talk about double-stuff!
