Omg I Won A Paypal Case!!!!

Paypal, and its predecessor, eBay billpoint or something like that, have stolen thousands of dollars from me over the past decade. I have had several recent fraudulent chargeback attempts. Before the question is asked, yes, unfortunately two were made by SF members and no, I will not divulge their identities as that is not the point of the thread. I was very disappointed however hence my reluctance to post much in the B&S forum. I am just so happy that by complying with paypal's near draconian rules I actually am getting my $ back (not that I agree it should have been taken in the first place). Lesson learned, ship promptly and ALWAYS use tracking and upload the DATA immediately. Even if you tell a buyer that you are away or cannot ship next day you are asking for a problem. You are better off telling the buyer to refrain from making payment until you are ready to ship.

Congrats! Good to hear that such situations are not impossible to get out of. What, precisely, did you have to furnish to address the issue?

Good work. I hate paypal, and I have had people issue chargebacks when I sent the items to them. Whats worse is that I ship them with delivery confirmation, yet they still decide to open a claim, but I have won all so far, still a huge waste of time and for a period my account privileges were suspended.

I have been free of the Paypal shackles for a few years now. It feels nice.

I felt the same way when I won the one of 300 paypal cases I've been involved in. Then they sent me a message saying that "Congratulations, unfortunately we could not recover your funds...

Not cool.

Since YOU brought it up, and since these two frauds were perpetrated by SF members, I would say go ahead and divulge names. maybe you can PM me their names so I can be aware?

One of them is attempting to make things right by returning the item. I have learned on this and other forums that being right is subjective and saying anything remotely bad about anyone will just result in the tables being turned on me.

I was a premium member of PayPal. Used it frequently to buy many parts for my car. Then my account was hacked. After having to deal with their recovery people I closed my account and never looked back.

Paypal is useless, and their dispute resolution is a joke. And to add insult to injury, they keep the PP fees regardless of the result (which is almost always in favor of the buyer if the item is returned)
