Is the rise closer to the 514 or 501? I don't care for a low rise jean. 501s fit me great except I wish they were slightly slimmer in the thighs and more tapered. The fit of these Beans has me interested.

The rise is in between the 501 and 514.

The LEC line conversely, presents it's own set of 'fit' issues...

I suppose J Crew is the standby...

I bought the short-sleeve madras shirt and the plain weave trousers last year. The shirt is nice, if a bit blousy, but the pants are insanely baggy. But yeah, price is the big issue here. I can get Canvas for wayyyy cheaper, or I can get nicer stuff (on sale) at or close to the same price.

If it wasn't for its cult following in the northeast, this line would have flopped hard. BTW anyone find it quite comical that as soon as they started Free Shipping they immediately raised prices on just about every item by 15-20%.

I think you really have to pick and choose with this line. I've found certain items to be of fantastic quality (saltwash long-sleeved rugby polo comes to mind) while others seem pretty overpriced. I haven't bought anything at full price yet, but at 20 or 30% off with free shipping, I think some items are a pretty good deal. It helps that I've been able to visit the Tysons Corner store a few times to see items in person.

Knowledge of sizing on the mariner polos, guys? Size down, as I've been hearing for almost all Signature tops? on sale for $20 then down to $16 with code + free shipping, gotta give it a try....

I bought the striped polo in blue and brown. Slim fit, with soft and light fabric that has held up over about 5 washes each. Would buy more. Size small at 153 lb, 5' 11" The mariner t-shirts are also extremely comfortable and have a bit more length than their LE counterparts. What is the cut like on the madras shirts?

The trench looks awesome.

Trench looks much less impressive in person.

The trench is VERY boxy looking and the material does not look nice either. I ordered it and immediately sent it back. Does anyone know if there is a Memorial Day coupon?

Anybody familiar with the suiting? I got the grey tropical weight trousers, had em tapered up and they are wonderful. I'm interested in getting the matching jacket, but I have no idea what the fit is like. Anybody know anything?
