Vintage Lee carpenter pants, talon zipper, insane rise, mid blue one wash, the whole deal. I realised I must have 10 pairs of different carpenter pants...

My latest purchase from the 'Bay: Vintage Sierra Designs 60/40 parka:

It's a little late in the season to be buying a parka, but these are pretty hard to come by. Bought from the original owner, in excellent condition. Cost me $90.

^^ damn, I didn't see that one or I would have bid against you.

Now is probably the perfect time of year for that purchase, though. It's more of a raincoat that full-on winter parka

Haha. You know, I thought to myself, "I bet someone from the board is going to bid me up to $150 for this thing."

There's a reason I didn't post anything until the auction was over. I never luck out on Ebay. I've bought a ton of stuff, but never really felt like I got a steal until this one. Made my day.

Very nice pickup Doc. I was eyeing this on eBay as well, it seems the seller had a few of them for sale. Vintage Sierra Designs stuff is made extremely well.

This reminds me to post up my fairly recent "late 70's backpacker look" purchases. Great for weekend wear.

Synergy Works parka. "The best damn parka in the world" - their ad slogan. Early Gore-tex - I'd est. this to be from '76-'78.

Because It's There (Seattle) 65/35 parka. Sierra Designs coined the term "60/40" for their parka, so other makers of the era had to use a similar blend of 35/65 to get the similar feel and effect. Stormshed fabric.

Deadstock late 70's Sears Virgin wool shirt

^Nice all around! Doc too.

Wiru kindly pointed out a Class 5 65/35 pullover to me last week--it's on its way. 60/40 fabric is the new knit tie.

^^^ I totally dig all those pieces, Nataku. The Synergy Works parka is awesome the deadstock Sears shirt is nice unique pattern. I have flannels and wool shirt/jackets in all kinds of plaid, but that Sears shirt is pretty unique. Nice finds.

Nice pickups. Are the cords and white pants true to size? Or should I size down?
