Crew Sutherland, and I even like it better than the "vintage" Burberry I picked up on eBay for around the same price recently. Simple, single-breasted, slim-fitting, and unlike everything else they make, there is NO ugly eagle logo to be found anywhere on the coat except for the inside lable and even there it's rather smallish.

Great coat for the price. Great alternative to J. Crew.

Oh, yeah, and machine washable.
I was looking for this just today. I wanted to take a peak at it on the site but it was no where to be found. then at the store there were only 2 mediums there. Hard to believe they sold like that when the price drop was only 20 dollars. I'm going to throw a call out to the next closest AE to see if they can do a charge send or simply hold it, otherwise i'll have to break and get the martin and osa variant(just gotta find that 30% coupon i had lying around haha)

Yeah, there was only one Large left in the store I went to. I think it got a bit of press earlier this winter and so has been a little more popular than the usual Eagle item. One thing that probably helped sell it is having that damned eagle emblazoned nowhere on the outside of the coat!

The most interesting trench I've ever seen. Quite unusual, yet it looks nice.

AE has a few winners that are sans eagle. Mainly items from 06 which was when i shopped there the most. My brother and I have a bunch of the old graphic tees with just an AE somewhere very subtly added. Even some button downs of theres don't have any eagles, though today that's not really true. The best you can do is a small eagle the same color as the shirt ie a white eagle on a white button down. but I also got their peacoat 2 seasons ago and the only eagle i found was a really small blended in emblem with one of the front pockets. idk.

Impulse buy, hope it works out well as an occasional accessory.

I like that J. Crew Timex, but for about 1/10th of the cost, I bought a very similar Timex at the local Army AAFEES store. Main differences are that it's not "distressed" and lacks the metal bars across the strap.

Thanks a lot. Between those JtG shirts you posted a few pages back (8 dollars shipping to the US, yes please!) and now this little tidbit, I am going to be broke all year if this turns out to be true. My miata is gonna be super pissed. EDIT: Looks like the rumor dates to Sept/Oct 2007. Also lets hope it's Tr7 styled and TR6 quality. I'd buy a mercury Capri over an old Tr7.
