I got it in the "charcoal" color, which I guess is gray. I specifically wanted the gray since all my other jackets are dark black and I'd like to have more variety in my outerwear. I talked to someone who's seen the gray version in person and they told me that color looks far better in person than in the above pictures. And I already happen love how it looks in the pictures anyway.

Yeah yeah, I figured someone would say that. Hey I'm not perfect, but it is a good general rule I try to follow nonetheless. Believe it or not, I was already planning on getting that exact jacket at the higher price. But when I went to look at it again last night I noticed the store had just marked it down the very same day to 50% off. So it was still largely a planned purchase as opposed to a new piece I only started seriously considering after the arrival of a sale. Maybe my rule would be better stated as: "Only buy items at a sale if you'd also be willing to buy them at full price."
