Not missing a whole lot.

Hated on this when it was originally posted, but I like it now. Relevant as it reminds me of Junya and Thom Browne.

One thing I noticed reading the old WAYWT is how although neo's style has remained pretty constant, his SF-approval has dramatically changed.

Neo (and I) were deliberately channeling next spring's Junya collection over the summer

Not really. He varies from having really nice outfits, posting pics of his karate uniform paired with laceups and a blazer, or wearing some of the most hideous shoes and other terribly mismatched outfits. He can have good looks he puts together but he used to be wildly inconsistent. SF approval is a myth. If you dress yourself well and are a decent enough poster people won't give your fits shit. If you dress kinda poorly but don't realize it, and then get defensive, bad things will happen (neo used to do this)

Yeah that's pretty much on the dot. He has always had a lot of unique items, just he changed his style somewhere around the start of spring or summer to something that just plain works better.

neo is one of the few legit bigtimers on the board

Shoes are bad. Terrible in fact. Is that thick sole supposed to make you look tarrer?

And Teger, HOP OFF HIS DICK (again)!

Dude don't be so rude. They are obviously orthopedic shoes. Not everyone can be born with two legs the same length, jerk!

I'm trying to up my blazer game and sniped these two off of ebay for cheap. Marc Jacobs John Varvatos Both are from mainlines, not the respective brands' derivatives (i.e. Marc by Jacobs by MJ by Marc Jacobs by...)
Interested to see what you do with the varvatos thing.
I'm envisioning a white T, slim denim, and either a pair of Varvatos boots or Margiela shoes. We'll see once it arrives. With the addition of the Marc Jacobs blazer, I have black, grey and navy jackets down so I figured I'd try something a little flashier. If it doesn't work, it only ran me $100 so it wouldn't be a big loss.

I agree that the comment would be rude if he was informed that they were orthopedic shoes. I had no idea what they were either, and am frankly not convinced that they are. I also find it strange to post your new orthopedic shoes in the recent purchases thread. I would've kept that private, but hey, I guess they were recently purchased...
