Well, I increasingly cannot stand the thought of buying or wearing anything that isn't high quality. I'm less familiar with Uniqlo, but I know Gap is very mediocre quality. Whereas Mr. Olive quality is as good as anybody within their price range, and they are often better quality than a lot of more expensive brands such as Julius.
Maybe if I owned the Uniqlo denim I'd change my mind, but in my experience I usually end up regretting inexpensive purchases like that in the long term. It's usually better to just pay up and get what you know is truly good quality.
