Received a KZO "Pine henley" in the mail today (which my wife had thoughtfully opened for me). Man, that brand has really evolved. I remember seeing the first season, when it was at the now defunct Dresscodes ATL (RIP), and I even have a thermal henley from then. It was... nice, like the military jackets in that collection, but not distinguished from the crowd. This FW season is really good though. Shows a lot of range. Joel really does Americana (something about hiking in the N. California Parks, without falling into cliches, and does a good job straddling the line between too boring basic and too overdesigned.

For example, the contrast in the placket is a nice detail, without being glaringly in your face, like so many contrast plackets are. The velvet piping at the back, instead of say, cotton twill, is a nice lux detail that you only see when the shirt is off, and the tonal screen on the unfinished hem makes the piece interesting without really jumping up and down asking to be acknowledged. I'd rate this the best henley of he (still young) season.

Also, surprise in the package, a grey deep v-neck tee, so that I can show off my.. chest hair... I suppose. Again, some surprising a nice details on a basic, like darting in the sides under the shoulder blade. I am not brave enough to wear just this, so it will have to stay a hidden detail for the most part.

deep vneck tshirts in a stretchy cotton or light linen i think is a popular streetwear look now. you got to be lean though and young looking. you qualify.

I know that it's a popular look, but I'm old, and have been set in my ways for a long time now. I don't really follow trends anymore. It's more like a give a nod to them.

Also, I probably need to lose 5-10 lbs right now to qualify, though I am pretty lean and young looking from a distance, still. I'm finding that in my old age (going to be 35 come Saturday), that my exercise routine alone is not enough. I need to get off of the seafood diet (See food, eat it.) Even as late as 6 years ago, I used to eat whole pizzas with my friends, and still maintain a flat stomach (bf was between 7 and 12%, depending on type of training.) No more. Time makes bitches of us all, it seems.

Needed another jacket. This one isn't bad for $45 IMO. http://www.tobi.com/product/10833-sp...870#ref=plroll

^Nice purchase. You can't go wrong with Spiewak, especially at that price.

lean... or skinny?

I think I am too skinny for the look, I use them as undershirts when I don't want anything to show.
