Does anyone here eat shark?

I suddenly have a taste for shark. It has been a while since I have had it and it was done kabob style. Does anyone here eat it and how do you cook it?

Evil. If you were here I would punch you right in the mouth.

Ate it a few times, in various forms, but never took to it. It's a little dry and bland for my taste. My local fish guy has it for under $5/lb, but I've never been tempted to cook with it.

Shark fin soup is a delicacy which carries a hefty price tag and thus the shark fin industry is pretty ruthless. They capture the sharks, cut off the fins and throw the live, finless sharks back into the water to drown. As for eating shark itself. I've had it 3-4 times and it just isn't that good...

fuck shark fin soup and fuck you... Such a stupid, crude meal.

I think those hippy losers from whale wars should go after shark finners. At least on the minke whale they use about 90% of the whale, on sharks they only use the fin and throw them back in the water to die.

Have eaten shark steaks before. Have to take care in preparing it, as its pretty oily. Sort of like swordfish. Pretty good though.

Shark and bake( a Trinidadian and Guyanes bread) is pretty great, I had it in Queens.

Shark meat - it's a bit tough and I read somewhere it's like swordfish, certain types of tuna - just things you shouldn't eat more than once a year for a grown man because of health impacts.

Shark fin soup is nothing like shark meat.

mako shark is delicious

I get it served to me about 4 times a year - people think that it is a great thing to serve to a respected guest when I go to the far east (either that or they are fucking with me, I don't know) but since I usually prefer to have more meat than fish, and fish is really a big status symbol, we always have shark fin soup or stew. I don't like the testure or the taste, myself.

Like many others, I find shark fin soup to be rather tasteless, but I do like the texture. It reminds me of this crab and lotus root soup that my mom makes on special occasions.
