The basketball hoop and backboard are attached to a frame which can be folded up when no-one is playing basketball, so as to save space. When it is folded down, it becomes lower and extends out from the wall.

The Youtube clip is quite astonishing.
It's an essentially useless activity but is quite stunning in parts and it really demonstrates that people are capable of performing amazing physical feats.
