What are some favorite pieces - shoes, shirts, dryfit type gear, etc?

Shoes: adidas supernova classics

after that it's a matter of finding things on sale - the lighter, the better.

Adidas basketball shorts that I cut off at about mid-thigh. Asics HyperSprint for the track and usually nothing for longer runs.

I run naked

Seriously, I do wear those homo short shorts. I don't know why. I guess they seem legit.

I tend to wear some sort of synthetic sport shirt, long-sleeved, short-sleeved or sleeveless, depending on the weather.

And awesome sunglasses like these:

Short shorts are the way to go. Extra fabric adds a lot of annoying resistance.

my thighs rub together and chafe like mad during the longer runs, so I need an inseam at least a bit longer than Daisy Duke's. I have 7-8 pairs of shorts that work fine, and one new pair that really ought to be for speedwork days only.

For some reason, Reebok seems to make the lightest gear that I can find reasonably. From May - September this really matters to me - it's all synthetic cool/dry/wick-fit-max.

Well, I wear underwear.

I wear cutoff, light-washed denim for shorts and a wife beater, and over-the-calf black dress socks.

Nike dri-fit runners with inner compression short. Back zip pocket/inner nano pocket for keys + music.

+1 i had been using a few pairs of cut off threadbare sweat pants and i decided to try these out. i really like them so far, and the hair on my thighs is starting to grow back after running in basketball shorts removed a good deal of it.

But I love the compression short. No chafing!

Depends.

If i'm doing a brick workout, I'll keep my tri suit on, throw on my running shoes, and go.

If it's just a regular run, then I usually wear an Underarmour top, compression shorts, and some running shorts. If it's cold, i'll wear running tights, a UA Cold Gear Long Sleeve shirt, and then a vest over it and a thermal beanie.

For shoes I don't like a lot of support so I usually wear the Nike Free or the Zoot tri shoes.

You don't use body glide? That stuff works miracles for thigh chaffing.

Because it's winter here I'm running in compression pants (skins) which are hideous but feel amazing and usually a lightweight active jacket to block out the wind. Can't wait for winter.
