I am fat

So, I quit smoking and I gained 15 lbs in 5 weeks.*

My suits don't fit anymore. My underwear is too tight in the waist.

I can't stop eating. I'll eat lunch at 1, and I'm famished by 3:30. I'll eat 500 calories (chicken, turkey, tuna, cottage cheese) at a sitting and I'll be unsated.

Questions:
1. Are there really people in the world who can't gain weight?
2. I should start smoking again, right?
3. Am I really eating 1500 surplus calories a day?

What's your exercise routine?

You're just trying to fill your stomach as a substitute for smoking. My advice is to fill it with stuff like raw vegetables for awhile till you get over it. Get some carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, etc and stuff yourself with that. Try and avoid the dip if you can, but I guess you can have a little fat free ranch or something (that stuff's nasty anyway). There's also yogurt based dressings that are a little better for you than the norm. After a week or two of this your cravings will probably even out.

1. Yes. I hate them.

2. No.

3. Perhaps. Keep a food log to know the answer to this.

Suggestions:

Add more fiber to your diet. Either artificial or through real food. Might help keep you more full.

Do more cardio. Rippetoe doesn't like cardio. I personally think he's a little to obsessed. Strong Lifts has a very narrow focus on strength gain. Life is about balance.

Get a hobby to take your mind off of eating.

Grimace and bear it. It should eventually pass. Don't make excuses.

I lost 18 lbs while backpacking in Asia. Just do that for a couple of months.

i eat a ton. i mean, literally a ton of food a day. i get crazy and irritable when my portions are only 500-600 calories per meal 6 times a day. i have to sit down and eat a full- on 2000 calorie meal for dinner. 1500 calorie meal for brunch. ive always been this way and i cant deny myself.

but i am not obese. i am not fat-looking either. i am actually, as most people put it, athletic and pretty looking. i attribute it to cardiovascular exercise daily. i do it daily as much as i can between 30 minutes - 1 hour (if time permits and i have the energy to do it) a day if i can. at the end you would think i jumped into a swimming pool. but that is what i got to do. to keep the weight off.

the days when i put off my cardio, when i eat alot and have a month where my schedule doesnt permit exercise as i want, i gain weight, yes, then i get a big abdomen and i look to be a little bigger.
but i m trying my best to make cardio a daily thing. try it, start off with 20 minutes a day or 15 minutes even. go for a quick walk around your block. do it everyday you will see the results in a couple of weeks i guarantee it.

post a picture because I don't believe this. you post about how you can't fit into any of your pants because you're a 34 or w/e now, and you buy clothing ranged from size 38 - 44 from B&S and you are constantly flipping jeans in size 30/31

you are fucking nuts dude

You like it when they lie to you?
