And if it does, do you worry about the aluminum side effects such as possible breast cancer and Alzheimers?

yes - i've been using arm&hammer naturals (no aluminum) lately. i previously used a natural deodorant, but that was more than the $2 for the a&h, and didn't work as well.

yes - i worry about the possible negative affects of aluminum.

There has never been a proven link between the Aluminum in antiperspirant to Cancer or Alzheimers. In fact, you take in WAY more Aluminum in your diet than you ever could with antiperspirant.

The reason that this myth came about is because Alzheimer's patients have high levels of Aluminum in their systems. As I said, however, there has been no link to antiperspirant.

There's also no research that proves organic food is better for me than the stuff with chemicals and hormones. In fact, it seems to go the other way. Given the choice between a pesticide apple or milk with growth hormones, however, I'll take the one that was produced without the b.s. and pay an extra buck for it. Remember, cigarettes didn't used to cause cancer.

I agree that I'd rather eat organic food or meat w/o hormones etc... I don't use antiperspirant. I'm just sayin'

Yeah, but it's not like you can pay extra for something that doesn't make you sweat right?

Or is there an antiperspirant that also isn't supposedly deadly?

All the natural ones I've seen are deodorant only. I just use unscented A&H.

I worry since I saw some talk on it. I feel that pollution that I deal with in the cities I visit is probably worse than some alum. But I use JASON that I got at whole foods. It works ok. I used Tom's Natural before but that didn't work so well. I might try this A&H. Never looked at it before.

I was using Kiss My Face active enzyme deodorant. It worked pretty well, but it's kind of pricey for me. The A&H naturals (the regular A&H has aluminum) is an little strong (makes my pits sting sometimes), but it's aluminum free, it's cheap, and it works. Another one that's a little hard to find is Addidas made with cotton. Again, it's both an anti/deo, and it's also very drying, but it's aluminum free.

That's because antiperspirant contains aluminum. Deodorant doesn't. That's the difference between the two. One can't have an antiperspirant w/o aluminum (unless it's a prescription?).

Until the science says it's harmful, I'm going to keep using AP. Aluminum-free doesn't work.

Did you ever try Anthony's Logistics or Happy Me Pit? They were the best deodorants I've ever used and they worked great! Unfortunately, I'm allergic to both so I can't use them. They are, however, somewhat expensive.
