Pants Question

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I'm in my early 30s, Pacific Islander, about 5'6" in height, 150lbs. I'm happily married. My wife and I are blessed to have a beautiful, healthy and smart daughter. She's two years old and six months. Like many of you here, I like clothes and fashion.

I know this is not the place to introduce myself but I thought I might as well since this is my first post.

Anyways, going back to my question. Is it tacky to fold pants? I mean, I like to fold the bottom of my pants, usually jeans to make it look nice on me. Also, I'm short and having a hard time finding pants that is perfect for my height and did not want to spend additional $$ to get it cut or tailored.

Cuffs look fine, usually. Use any of the pinned threads at the top for smaller questions

1) Fold = Cuff 2) If you can't afford the $8 to $10 it costs to hem your pants, you probably should rethink having a child.

Let's just say I don't want to spend the extra money and time to go and get my pants tailored that's why I preferred to cuffs it.

I just found out that fold = cuff searching this forum, and thanks for that.

On a side note, why do you have to give this STUPID suggestion on how to live my life? About rethinking of having a child? You can just answer Yes or No to the question, or ignore the question and that was it.

Get yourself some Ande Whalls with a 40" inseam and stack the **** out of them. You'd be the trendiest dad ever.

Otherwise, you could invest in a sewing machine and tailor them yourself...

This to me contradicts your interest in fashion. It's a less dramatic equivalent of wearing an untailored slightly ill fitting suit because you can't afford to get it fixed. Cuffing is fine if you prefer the look but it sounds to me like you're trying to find justification for being lazy/tight with your money.

You can cuff your pants all day long but it doesn't go unnoticed and will not suit every outfit you wear, which will give off the vibe that your pants are too long rather than that you intentionally wanted to show cuff with the outfit you are wearing.

If you really can't afford to buy a certain pair of pants and get them hemmed, you should be buying a cheaper pair of pants so that you can afford the hemming.
