Skin care routine

Share your skincare routine and briefly talk about how well it has done for you so other members can find a perfect skincare regimen.

I'll start.

My routine is pretty simple I have oily/combination skin so I use neutrogena oil control cleanser with the clarisonic system because it diminishes pores over time and smooths the skin. I do that every morning and evening. For moisturizing, i use La Mer's gel cream because its make your skin looking perfect and supple. For acne treatment when my skin acts up, i use DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask as a spot treatment because its kinda expensive to use it on my whole face. Finally as a sunscreen for the daytime i use IQQU advance sunscreen SPF 35. The sunscreen is by far the most favorite part of my regimen because it not greasy, it gives you a velvet complexion, it gives you a subtle matte finish, and best of all it makes your skin so DAMN smooth. I know this routine is costly but it last a very long time so you save money. The clarisonic is $200 but last many years, just replace, the brush head every three months, La mer gel cream is $230 but last 6-8 months, DDF sulfur mask last a year for me because i use as a spot treatment. The sunscreen is about $40 last quite a while. Through trial and error, i have been looking for the best skincare and this has been the most effective for me. Girls are amazed of how smooth and radiant my skin looks.

I usually use a Biore Scrub for my skin during my morning shower, but lately I've been using a St.Ives scrub. I usually save my face for the end of the shower so that my pores are open from the steam, I use Nivea creme afterwards, then Vaseline for my lips. I have pretty good skin, I get the odd razor bump here and there but I was taught to take good care of my skin.

Hey, if you really did go through that, I feel for you, for that alone. With that said, what the fuck? Shit dude, you're fucking 17 years old, if you really expect yourself NOT to have acne/skin issues when you're a teenager with raging hormones you can go fuck yourself.

I use soap and water, I still have acne, not suiciding anytime soon.

My morning regimen consists of the 3 main steps of Proactiv - I don't work for them but Proactiv definitely works for me. I don't use astringents because they tend to take the natural oils from your face and leave your skin overly dry, which forces it to make more oil to overcompensate. At night, I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub and it leaves my skin well balanced.
For the occasional razor bump, I use a product called Skin Tight...it smells unpleasant, but it works.

I used to use Cetaphil, but I ran out and have just been using my Irish Spring bar on my face for a few months. Guess what, my skin is still clear. Seems all the supplements I take, albeit for different reasons, really help one's skin stay clear. (Zinc, spirulina) I do exfoliate every other day though, but exfoliating to me means shaving with a DE razor and splashing on a nice metholated alcohol aftershave when done.

Fixed it for ya.

You're 17. That's old enough to face facts and be honest with yourself.

Why would anyone want a "subtle matte finish"?
Seriously, WTF?

i missed this statement earlier. perhaps you should look at this second chance you have been given as an opportunity to do something to make the world around you a better place. i can guarantee you'll find it more fulfilling then accumulating overpriced things. and for what it is worth, i'm a cancer survivor as well, so i'm speaking as someone who has been where you are now.
