1. Thanks for making this a seperate thread... 2. I think we should generally stick with fragrances, unless you guys really want to expand away from that... I mean I could throw in some shaving creams/balms, face lotions, man juice, etc too I geuss. 3. i'd like this to be more of a swap box, but it doesn't have to be. if you just spray something once and don't like it, then it's more of a sample box. So take what you want, but you don't really have to... Seeing/Leeching - If it's just one person seeding then moving forward, then I think the box needs to go round the circle at least twice. Alternatively, a few members can send stuff to one person just to get the box started with at least 20+ samples... Im happy to send stuff in advance so that when I get the box there's stuff to look at, otherwise the first few people don't have much to try... Ideas for rules - as mentioned, you can always just test without taking, if you do take, try to put back at least a few more then you took jus to get it growing, trade things of roughly the same value (eg if I take out 1 sample that's rare/valuable, then I'll put back at least 3-5 mainstream ones - that's just me though) Shipping - seeing as how I'm in Canada :-(... any suggestions on how to handle/label the boxes, or does that mean I'm out? Tracking and communication is a must.

I don't think it'll be that everything stays in the box, just that if there are a few really popular ones that everyon's interested in, then we do a larger decant and it stays in the box for everyone to try while most of the other samples get swapped in and out...

Is there some sort of shared docs like google or something we can use? That way everyone can make a note of what tehy have / want from someone else (to see if there are multiple people interested in one sample, or high demand for one)

I also see it as a swap, but want people to have a shot at trying something but not being penalized for being lower on the list. The more I think of it, though, I'm starting to think that this is mostly a good chance to try new things and less a targeted sample swap. Otherwise it can get complicated.

Canada: as I understand it anything anywhere on the package or customs declaration that refers to fragrance or perfume or what have you is seized. I think "cosmetics" is allowed but not sure on that. Clanking bottles are likewise a no-no, so we'd have to pack carefully. I use one of those vacuum food sealers for the bottles and then pad carefully. I think it's possible to pull this off if we only ship into Canada once, and then back out once, but whoever ships into Canada would have to be careful. Should we start this in Canada and then come down into the states? I could send my samples up there to help start the box and give you something to comb through.

As for the canada shipping thing... I can be the one to seed the box, send it forward, then whoever has it last can PM me with whatever's left in there and I can just maybe get a few sent back to me... what do you think? that way I'm not the last to get a full box that could be stopped... My only concern is that I have a decent number to contribute but most are fairly common frags, nothing all too rare. Anyway, up to you guys.

I like this: Rambo seeds the box, I add, and we move it along the line. Once the map thing is worked out we can then put a route together and go from there. M-C either fits in somewhere depending on geography, or we work something else out.

I can seed the box and send it your way. If you've got a few empties I can drop in a decant of K10 and you can draw from it.

Do you guys know any stores that sell decants or something to store the colognes? I only have about 8 scents in sample form.

ahhh, you can get smallish screw-top vials (2-dram, and up) from the Container Store, but after that I'm lost.
