International Male?!?!?!?!?!? - Page 3

Carson Kressley's book is quite good. The advice he gives is indeed similar to what I would call the consensus of the forum. Check out the "surprise me" excerpts on amazon.com. His writing style is very similar to his speech patterns if you've ever watched queer eye.

I expecially liked the "brown wingtips and jeans" endorsement.

I know whenever I first heard of the website, I was looking around for whatever bizarreness I could find. I believe they are called "Snugglers" (the section is empty on the site), and I'm not sure if they had the footie part or not. Impressive to 2 and 20 year olds alike, I guess.

International Male carries a large collection of casual silk shirts, a few of which are rather durable and not flamboyant. A shirt like that is good for most men to have.

But there are other sources for good casual silk shirts. I just bought one at Marshalls for $20, then saw the exact same shirts, and a larger selection, in a Saks Off 5th for $50. So there is no need to support IM, unless you want to dress as a fat a$$ed pirate.

What is wrong with going to Turnbull & Asser and Richard James?

Well, Halloween costumes are available elsewhere, too.

Nothing. Turnbull & Asser silk shirts aren't going to be as casual, though, and neither brand is going to be priced as low as some IM shirts are. Also, with International Male, you can order online. Incidentally, where is the Richard James website?

I think Gucci makes a snice silk shirt. As well as Versace.

Int'l Male Item Review, the lovely Zoofari Set. First off, if you're going to make up a word, please make it better than 'Zoofari'. Seriously. Second, no self-respecting man wears a piece of clothing with a frilly fringe on it. Oh wait, I mean "trendy frayed threads". That is not what a man does. Third, the matching pants/top/hat is bad enough, please don't do it with a grotesquely-patterned fabric. And wipe that sh*t-eating grin off your face. EDIT: Although, this little number is nice, especially with the addition of " striking nine-button cuffs". And, note to streetwear fans, slim cut pants are out.

Two of the most hideous brands I've seen for men are Custo Barcelona and Voyage Passion. They are sometimes even more awful than International Male in its infinte realms of tackiness.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you had something "Zoofari" in the works, and they stole the term right out from under you.
