This Filson Flagship Dealer in Seattle really does have some decent pricing on the 256 and 257! Man they certainly beat our price even with the SF discount code! We do have that price match policy but all I can say is wow.

I'm not affiliated with Crane's (apart from as a satisfied customer), but dare I suggest that anyone considering Filson kit uses the link above and asks Crane's to price match? Far be it from me to suggest that this may mean Crane's don't have to face the wrath of Filson for their pricing policy, and that SF continues to gain the excellent service we've had so far from Crane's........

Clearly this is all only my opinion.

As far as I know you must click-thru the cashback link on Bing and complete your purchase during that browser sesssion to get credit. If you did this, contact the merchant as they are responsible for reporting Bing refered sales for this program. Good luck.

Filson reads this site. My point in all of this is to make it crystal clear that we are aware of what is going on where and with whom. I'm not joking when I said I want to hear about all the deals you guys find.

I went to my local Filson retailer with a printout of your website, they offered to split the difference, I accepted.

For the record, here's what I ended up getting. It's the Filson 257 from eBags. It was originally $250. They pricematched SportCo for $184.97 (eBags just credited back my card the difference). Then via Bing.com's Cashback deal, I received 20% ($50) back. Granted, it's still pending (55 days to go). Took less than a day to get my Cashback notification.

Thanks Mulder. We advertise on bing but I haven't looked into the whole cashback thing. It sounds like an expensive program to participate in.

Did this today; still waiting for my confirmation. I've done a few Bing transactions lately and the cashback has show up within 20 minutes or so. Hope I don't have any issues. dport86's post must have been made just after I ordered. I did hear from eBags that they approved the pricematch. edit - checked my live.com email, and the notice was sent there rather than my gmail. All my other bing payments had gone through paypal so I guess that's why I got those notifications. Turns out it came from eBags less than 30 minutes after my order, but didn't show in my cashback account until I clicked the link in my live.com email.

Just noticed that Sportco raised their price on the 257 to $225.

Will it fit in a 256 or will I need a 257? Is the 257 large enough?
