Stupid, but priceless.
I'm embarrassed to admit how much I like that bag. Ugh.

Filson's Winter Sale started today. If you don't already own one, buy one of the dry bags. They're amazing.

I haven't handled these in person before but I'm a bit surprised to hear this. I have to say that "vinyl-coated polyester" doesn't sound especially appealing and the very visible Filson logo is more or less a deal breaker for me. Curious what the advantage to these bags is.

I was hoping the winter sale would have some of the twill luggage on sale. Like last year, the heavy tin small duffle was 99 bucks. And I bought my heavy tin medium duffle for like 179 I think. The heavy tin material makes the regular twill feel like shelter cloth in comparison and is just an awesome as a checked.bag or for a longer journey.

Why feel embarrassed? I'm quite partial to those myself although I would agree that the leather accents might not have been as well thought out as it could have been rotflmao.gif I think the only thing that offends me is the MSRP price, they probably thought that CXL leather is worth its weight in Shell Cordovan censored.gif

Oh and Merry Xmas folks! cheers.gif

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a bag for me. I'm looking for something roughly the same size as the zippered tote, maybe a bit bigger, preferably with a few more pockets, that has a shoulder strap. I need something that would work for me when i'm cycling. I have a zippered tote now and love it, but it's a hint small for what I want next, and it has no shoulder strap. I was thinking the 24hr bag, or the computer bag, but am not sure. Any recommendations?

The shoulder straps are pretty long on Filson bags. I'm not sure if they would work worn crossbody on a bike if that was your intent without modifying the shoulder strap.

FWIW, I just picked up a meridian from Lost & Found for $350ish shipped express after using their 25% off discount code and with the exchange rate. Discount code is "boxingday" for anyone interested.

Gambit. - can you send the link to Lost & Found? I'm not familiar with them.

Particularly with regards to what you can buy for 1k in a Japanese domestic market model Seiko or Citizen.

The Filson winter sale was a disappointment from my perspective in terms of bags/luggage. Last year's sale, they pulled out even some NOS bags that were not even for sale on their regular website anymore
