Ok, so I've been weeding through a few of the recommendations: Hypemachine has some really good shit but its coupled with some really bad shit and there is just too much shit. I wish there was some way to weed out the crap you didn't have any interest in. Beatport - I like the idea but a) you have to pay for everything b) they only play the super-duper extended versions of the tracks which I can't fucking stand and c) you have to pay for everything. Is there any way to download the tracks from the blogs so you can listen to them while you're not at the computer?

I generally use Pitchfork, but don't strictly go by what they say as they tend to favour what's popular at the moment.
Regardless though, they tend to have pretty good reviews and are fairly stable in their reviews.

Like 5 years ago i really liked Tiny Mix Tapes as a source of good music reviews and news. Not as good these days but then again i haven't checked much modern music blogs. I have some friends i really trust musically who keep up with new stuff (one because he has to for a writing spot of his) and lately they've been helping me stay up on things. It's a lot of work to constantly be searching for new artists or albums and wade through the miles and miles of crap that get decent reviews

You can't beat Resident Advisor for techno and house, solid reviews and top notch podcasts. Most single reviews link straight to the juno download site as well.

For online radio I prefer BBC Radio 6. It just confirms most radio programming in North America sucks

Metacritic for most mainstream/sub-mainstream music.
