Whitening Trays/Retainer?

I haven't worn my retainer I needed for my teeth for about a year, my dog ate it . It was one of those plastic ones.

I was wondering if I could buy a retainer and use it as overnight whitening trays as well as a retainer? Anyone done it?

That sounds like a bad idea. For one thing, the whitening agent might leak from the container. You probably should talk to a dentist. Besides, a year without the retainer likely has allowed your teeth unwanted movement.
