My son loves his guitar and I hope he keeps with it. Paul was an instrumental figure in American music.

He lived till his 90s.

And he was in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Inventor's Hall of Fame, and the Song Writer's Hall of Fame.

He also invented 8 track studio recording.

Amazing guy. It doesn't get much better than that.

+1. So much music I like was recorded with a Gibson Les Paul. I can honestly say that my life would be different had Les Paul not made such huge contributions to music.

I didn't laugh and thought it was rude. But then I saw who Ed was talking about, and I joined in with you, lefty.

The tears have dried up but there's still a few bleeding vaginas out there.

At least with Les Paul there's no "he was such a great man" turnaround bullshit. MJ dies, he goes from being a freaky creeper to some sort of musical legend. Why can't he be remembered as both? Don't get me started on Reagan. . .

I saw him 2 years ago at the Iridium. It's cool that I can tell people that I saw him live but it was one of the most boring performances I have ever sat through.
