Can't having the same goals put people in conflict, thus creating toolbags?

It's never that way. You want to be in an environment where toolbags are quickly removed. Very rare, but an incredible work situation when you find it.

Pretty much impossible to find a workplace that's toolbag free.

My workplace is almost toolbag-free. It is a management consulting job.

Yes, but only on the same team. Consulting. Spend all day working, all night drinking.

Must be a great team, but don't you work with different people on each project? I was in consulting for a while... toolbags around.

I perform a highly specialized skill. As such, the teams I am part of are small and close knit. We are different and isolated from the rest of the project teams; however, we appear to all have similar personalities. When on site, we are all pretty much each others best friend and work extremely well together.

My company for the most part has great people. Of the 100 people or so I have been on teams with I can count on one hand the number that were toolbags.

Unless you are such toolbag that you dont recognize that all your consulting buddies are also toolbags.

Like how hipsters never admit to being hipsters.
