Where to go? Spain vs. Vietnam

I'm in the midst of planning my vacation next summer. Where to go?

Spain is my favorite country in Europe (I haven't been to Italy...). I can't speak Spanish, though I'm willing to learn this year.

As for Vietnam, I am Vietnamese and have family there.

I've been to both of these places twice. But should I go somewhere else? All I know is that both places are going to be hotter than a sweaty ballsack during late August.

It'll take you a whole year to plan your vacation? That's some next level teh ghey shit. In any case, go where you haven't gone before. If I have the free time and the dough, I'd do the Spain - On the Road Again tour. Don't forget to bring stretchy pants.

I was thinking abotu touring Galicia and San Sebastian in Spain. and Eat good foodz.

btw. I love Claudia Bassols.

Galicia is cheap (though probably not as cheap as Vietnam) and actually reasonable in the summer. I'd go there.

I hate Thailand. Vietnam is a classier version of Thailadn. I could holler at that. But you're right. I just want to chillon an isanld somewhere. Maybe Malaysia?!?!

...Malaysia has some damn nice islands, but if that's what you have in mind, Indonesia or the Philippines both trump Malaysia.

Hmmm. I like the idea of Indonesia. Will I get the obligatory attitude in the PHillipines?

oh, and late August is still wet season in southern Vietnam. Hot as hell up north, in the south, hot in the morning insane rain in the afternoon...kind of pleasant after that.

I'm no expert on either....I went to Boracay about six years ago though...that place was heaven. I have some friends who went to the Philipines a couple of months ago, came back raving about it. I'll ask where they went.

I second Indo or Philippines, if only because August is actually pleasant, unlike in some of the other locales mentioned.
